The emergency dentist is located in the hospital in Kuusamo town centre they are open for emergancy appointments Mon – Fri 8am-12pm and other appointments Mon – Thurs 12pm-3pm and Fri 12pm-2.30pm
For weekend emergencies the dental centre is in Oulu, a 3 to 3.5 hour drive, and is open 9.30am-12am.

For A Visit To The Dentist You Will Need:
- Passport
- European Health Insurance Card
- Travel insurance details and policy (check it covers dental, many don’t)
- Cash – a hospital appointment costs €20 (admin fee payable in cash only, not covered by insurance)
- Money for the taxi – a taxi to Kuusamo costs around €40 each way. They will accept major credit cards. Make sure you ask for a receipt for your insurance company.
