Lake Kuusamo starts in the center of Kuusamo, a 20 minute drive from Ruka and stretches through 25km’s of forest and farmland.

25 km’s long and 51 square km’s in area, Lake Kuusamo is both large and impressive and incredibly picturesque. Along it’s banks you will find forest, meadows and fields, traditional farms and homesteads over 100 years old.
